History.......
For over sixty years, Furs By Leonard has been the
choice of discerning woman of style in Toronto. Founded by needleworker Helen Leonard
during the depression of the 1920's, we have grown into one of the largest independent
purveyors of furs and luxury fashion in Canada.
After studying design in New York, Helen's son Warren moved the shop from a small
apartment above a bank onto Yonge Street in mid-town Toronto. From that location Furs By
Leonard grew along with Warren's reputation for perfect fitting, high caliber furs of
elegant styling and faultless construction.
In 1989 Furs By Leonard moved into it's present location at 1417 Yonge Street and expanded
into soft, lightweight sheepskin and shearlings along with gorgeous cashmeres. Now owned
by Warren's son Greg, Furs By Leonard continues to offer the finest in luxury outerwear
and accessories available anywhere. Haute fashion collections such as Louis Féraud,
CHRiST of Germany, Zuki and the fabulous knit furs of Paula Lishman now compliment Furs By
Leonard own collection of exquisite Mink!
